Editorial
Dear Reader, dear Friends,
I am pleased to present you today with the first issue of our newsletter “OptiMedium” in english. For several years, we have published a german “OptiMedium”, which is sent to more than 5.500 experts from the fields of politics, health care and science. Because of our increasing international activities, we now want to stay in contact with people outside of Germany and inform them regularly about our projects like the famous integrated care system Gesundes Kinzigtal in Germany, our international work, interesting themes related to integrated care, recent publications and events, we visit.
Our english „OptiMedium“ will be published approximately every three to six months. It’s a good way to stay in touch with our work. Please sign up here for your OptiMedium!
In this issue you read amongst other articles:
- Interview with Nick Goodwin: Gesundes Kinzigtal is ahead of us – vanguard areas in England compared with Kinzigtal
- Case Study for the World Bank: Gesundes Kinzigtal example for China?
- Jurriaan Pröpper: There is much interest in population oriented health care in the Netherlands
For those, who do not know much about us, a short description of our work: OptiMedis is a health management company, Germany-based but working as well in the international arena, for instance with a joint venture in the Netherlands (www.optimedis.nl). It develops regional multi-professional healthcare-networks in which physicians, hospitals, physiotherapists, pharmacies, sport clubs, schools and enterprises are engaged together, based on contracts with health insurance funds for integrated care. OptiMedis also analyzes health care data and performs independent, data-based real-life care research, developes integrated care pathways and makes the results available for the integrated provision of health care services. The goal of OptiMedis is to provide, together with partners in regional settings all over the world, a substantial health benefit to the population.
One of the leading managed care-systems in Germany is being headed by OptiMedis AG: Gesundes (“Healthy”) Kinzigtal in Baden-Württemberg.
2014 we established together with the Dutch partners of Adstrat Consulting BV OptiMedis Netherland. And we also have Partners in Switzerland and Australia. If you want to contact one of them, please click here to find the right contact person.
We look forward to your feedback on our newsletter and are happy to accept any of your suggestions, comments or ideas for improvement.
I hope you enjoy reading it!
