About us

We promote health for everyone

Who we are

OptiMedis was established in 2003 and has become the market leader in developing and implementing innovative types of care. We come from health sciences, economics, medicine and care, IT, sociology and many other areas. As a team, we bring diverse viewpoints on health care together, allowing us to develop concepts that are both innovative and feasible. We are united by the desire to create fair and better health care, both here in Germany and abroad.

What we do

We provide more ‘Health for all’. For us, this means that everyone should have the same access to health, whether in an urban or rural setting, regardless of social status. To this end we develop evidence-based care structures and interventions so that everyone in a given region can live as healthily as possible. This in turn relieves pressure on health providers. Target group specific prevention programs, health promotion, targeted care management, stakeholder networking and new (digital) solutions all play a role here. Our concepts are based on data and science. As partners in many EU and Innovation Fund projects, we have excellent networks in health care, research and politics.

What distinguishes us from the rest?

We want to help solve urgent social issues by connecting activities that are both economic and in the public interest. Our innovative financial model turns the incentives in health care around: the benefit (value) will be rewarded, not – as in today’s system – the unit volume. This creates incentives for all stakeholders in the health system to ensure that the general public’s health is maintained as well as possible and that people’s health literacy is improved.

Examples of our work

The health networks Gesundes Kinzigtal, Gesunder Werra-Meißner-Kreis, Gesundheit für Billstedt-Horn and Gesunder Schwalm-Eder-Kreis+ that we have established with our partners are known both in Germany and abroad. We have received international recognition of these exemplary models for patient-centred care.

Socially Responsible

Our work affects the lives of many people, employees, network and business partners as well as numerous stakeholders in the social and healthcare sectors. We therefore bear a high level of social responsibility, which we describe in more detail in our Code of Ethics and our Gender Equality Plan (in German).
